Roma train without Ranieri
Roma trained without coach Claudio Ranieri this morning after the 59-year-old offered his resignation last night.
Club officials met with Ranieri and the team today, with the coach leaving the training ground in Trigoria after 50 minutes.
Roma have yet to make any announcement as to whether they have accepted Ranieri’s resignation, which was offered after his side surrendered a 3-0 lead to lose 4-3 at Genoa.
Reports in the the Italian capital have linked former Roma striker Vincenzo Montella – the current youth-team coach – with the Giallorossi hotseat.
Roma visit Bologna on Wednesday before hosting Parma this weekend on the back of four straight defeats, including last week’s 3-2 home loss to Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League last-16 first leg.
