Newcastle have accepted a club-record offer from Liverpool for striker Andy Carroll, Liverpool have confirmed on their official website.

Liverpool have had a club-record bid for Newcastle striker Andy Carroll accepted by the north-east club.

The figure is believed to be in the region of £35m after an earlier bid of £30m was turned down.
