Van Nistelrooy set for summer exit

Ruud van Nistelrooy will leave Hamburg in the summer after having his return to Real Madrid blocked by the Bundesliga club.

The Dutchman had become a target of the Spaniards after they lost Gonzalo Higuain to injury and the player had his heart set on a return to Spain, but Hamburg have closed the door on a move and told him to stay put.
