Goalkeeper Boaz Myhill will make his first Barclays Premier League start for West Brom when they take on Blackpool tomorrow.

Baggies boss Robert Di Matteo has revealed Scott Carson will drop down to the bench to make way for Myhill, who impressed between the posts during last weekend’s narrow FA Cup defeat to Reading.

Chris Brunt will take the captain’s armband in Carson’s absence.

Peter Odemwingie is battling an ankle injury, while Ismael Miller and Pablo Ibanez are also doubtful with hamstring problems.

Jonas Olsson is suspended and Steven Reid is recovering from knee surgery, but defender Gabriel Tamas is available following a three-match ban.
