Van Gaal satisfied with Bayern progress

Bayern Munich coach Louis van Gaal was delighted with his side’s 3-0 win over Basle last night and their Champions League campaign in general, claiming “it hardly gets any better”.

Bayern, who had already sealed top spot in Group E and therefore had little to play for at the Allianz Arena, took apart their Swiss opponents, who knew a win could keep them in the competition.
