Van der Vaart has recovered from an ankle knock as Spurs revert to a 4-4-1-1 formation, with Wilson Palacios replacing the injured Jermaine Jenas in midfield.

Liverpool’s only change sees Lucas Leiva return from suspension in place of Christian Poulsen, but Joe Cole is not in the squad despite having recovered from a hamstring problem.
