Sporting set for Europa League

Glen Crowe and Gary O’Neill both scored twice as Sporting Fingal confirmed their Europa League spot for a second season running.

Liam Buckley’s side were 2-0 up inside six minutes with the game all but over when the third goal arrived on 25 minutes.

Crowe got the opener on three minutes when heading home Conan Byrne’s corner.

Another header from O’Neill, from Ronan Finn’s terrific cross, soon doubled the lead.

O’Neill then scrambled home the third form another Finn cross.

UCD didn’t lie down and got a goal back on 61 minutes when Michael Leahy dived low to head to the net after Evan McMillan flicked on Paul Corry’s corner.

But Crowe restored the three-goal winning margin with a crisp half volley on 67 minutes.
