Galway keeper returns for clash with Bohs

Bohemians could take another step closer to retaining their title with a win against Galway United at Terryland Park tonight (kick-off 7.45pm).

United welcome back goalkeeper Barry Ryan for the visit of Pat Fenlon’s Gypsies.

Galway manager Sean Connor must plan without the suspended duo of Stephen Walsh and Karl Sheppard, however.

Stephen O'Donnell, who has scored against Bohs three times this season, is also missing after he underwent a knee operation last week.

Ciaran Foley remains out as he is struggling with an ankle injury.

For Bohs, Owen Heary has recovered from a hamstring injury and is fit for selection but Jason McGuinness (hamstring) remains out and Mark Rossiter (hamstring) is also sidelined.

Anto Murphy and Steven Gray remain ruled out by long-term Achilles injuries, while influential winger Killian Brennan is suspended.

The Dalymount Park boss Fenlon will bring some of the underage players into the squad, including defender Roberto Lopez and forwards David Loddola and Gary Burke.

Fenlon said: “What we said at the start of the season is we’re trying to win a league title and that’s still the main ambition. We’ve got to try and win the game on Friday and see where it takes us.

“We set ourselves targets for phases of games when we had to make up ground and that worked well for us. But now we’re down to the last two games and we’ve got to win on Friday. No matter what happens the title contest will be alive until the last game of the season.”
