Alex Ferguson has made five changes to Manchester United’s starting line-up for this evening’s Champions League clash with Bursaspor as the club comes to terms with the news that Wayne Rooney wants to leave.

Alex Ferguson has made five changes to Manchester United’s starting line-up for this evening’s Champions League clash with Bursaspor as the club comes to terms with the news that Wayne Rooney wants to leave.

Rooney, who confirmed his desire to move on from Old Trafford just before the match, had already been ruled out with an ankle injury.

Federico Macheda has been called upon to lead the line in place of Dimitar Berbatov and Javier Hernandez, who both drop to the bench, while Darren Fletcher, Park Ji-sung, Chris Smalling and Tomasz Kuszczak also make it into Ferguson’s first XI.
