Fabregas back in training

Cesc Fabregas handed Arsenal a boost ahead of tomorrow’s Champions League game against Shakhtar Donetsk by returning to training this morning after a month-long lay-off.

The Spain midfielder, who has not played since Arsenal’s 1-1 draw at Sunderland last month, trained alongside his team-mates at the Gunners’ base in London Colney today.

The north Londoners have suffered a dip in form since the 23-year-old’s injury, losing to West Brom and Chelsea before stuttering to a 2-1 win over Birmingham at the weekend.

Fabregas played a key part in Arsenal’s Champions League opener against Braga, scoring twice in a 6-0 thrashing of the Portuguese team in September.

Arsene Wenger’s side will tomorrow look to make it three wins from three in Group H when they take on the Ukrainian side at the Emirates Stadium.
