Premier League quartet in Russia squad

Russia have named four Premier League players in their squad for their Euro 2012 qualifier with the Republic of Ireland in Dublin on October 8.

Chelsea full-back Yury Zhirkov, Everton’s Diniyar Bilyaletdinov, Arsenal midfielder Andrey Arshavin and Tottenham striker Roman Pavlyuchenko have been included in the 21-man party.

Stuttgart frontman Pavel Pogrebnyak is the only other player named in the squad who does not play his club football in Russia.

Dick Advocaat’s team have won one and lost one of their opening two qualifiers, winning 2-0 in Andorra before losing 1-0 at home to Slovakia.
