King dons armband for Spurs
Tottenham v FC Twente
Ledley King shook off groin and knee problems to captain Tottenham in tonight’s Champions League clash with FC Twente.
England defender King was one of four personnel changes from Saturday’s 1-0 Barclays Premier League defeat at West Ham, with Heurelho Gomes starting in goal for the first time in a month after recovering from a groin injury and Benoit Assou-Ekotto and Roman Pavyluchenko both recalled in what looked an adventurous formation.
Dutch champions Twente made two changes, drafting in Marc Janko and Emir Bajrami as both sides looked to build on 2-2 draws in their opening Group A matches.
