Houllier hopes Young will commit

Gerard Houllier is optimistic Aston Villa winger Ashley Young will sign a new contract after putting pen to paper on his own three-year deal with the midlands club.

Houllier finally signed on the dotted line yesterday after agreeing to become Martin O’Neill’s successor a fortnight ago.
