Brennan sees red as Bohemians held in Sligo

Sligo Rovers 1 Bohemians 1

Killian Brennan got himself sent off to dent Bohemians’ title retention hopes as they had to settle for a draw at Sligo tonight .

The result leaves Pat Fenlon's side three points behind leaders Shamrock Rovers with a game more played.

The in-form champions, starting the same side for the fourth match running, edged the first half, going in at the interval a goal up, though a man down.

Bohs took the lead on 35 minutes when Mark Quigley, who minutes earlier brought a tip-over save from Sligo keeper Ciaran Kelly, found the net from another superb free-kick.

It all began to go wrong for Bohs just two minutes later however when winger Brennan was shown a straight red card for violent conduct.

Sligo battled back and deservedly levelled against the 10 men on 57 minutes through midfielder John Russell.
