Nasri back for Gunners
Arsenal v Braga
Samir Nasri was restored to the Arsenal starting line-up for the Champions League group H opener against Braga tonight.
The French midfielder had missed the Londoners’ previous three games with a knee injury but was handed a start after being kept on the bench for Saturday’s 4-1 win over Bolton following his return from surgery.
Nasri replaced Tomas Rosicky in one of three changes to Arsene Wenger’s starting XI, with Gael Clichy and Bacary Sagna coming in for Kieran Gibbs and Emmanuel Eboue.
Marouane Chamakh and Andrey Arshavin led the attack for the home side, who had Jack Wilshere in the holding role in the absence of the injured Abou Diaby.
Former Newcastle midfielder Hugo Viana was in the Braga side as the Portuguese looked to build on their play-off successes against Celtic and Sevilla in their Champions League debut season.
