Yobo set to swap Toffees for Turkey

Everton defender Joseph Yobo is poised to join Turkish side Fenerbahce after the clubs agreed a loan deal for the defender.

Fenerbahce have also secured the option of a permanent deal at the end of the season, although the deal hinges on a medical and reaching agreement on personal terms.

Yobo will travel to meet his prospective employers ahead of the Turkish transfer deadline tomorrow.

The 29-year-old has been a fixture at Goodison since 2002 when he arrived from Marseille and has made more than 250 appearances for the Toffees.

Yobo was considered one of Everton’s key players until Phil Jagielka and Sylvain Distin’s good form forced him out of the first XI.
