Caretaker boss Kevin MacDonald has insisted that Aston Villa have received no bid or approach from Tottenham for Ashley Young.

MacDonald believes it is crucial Villa hold onto their leading players if he decides to apply to take permanent charge in the next 24 to 36 hours.
