Devon earn replay after Corrib Cup derby

Bottom of the First Division Salthill caused the stir of the fourth round by bringing neighbours Galway to a replay in this Corrib derby.

The sides swapped goals inside a minute in some dramatic late action.

Jason Molloy put Sean Connor’s Premier side in front on 83 minutes when heading home Karl Sheppard’s cross.

But Devon were level within 60 seconds. Mike Quirke’s free-kick into the box was defended and Ciprian Straut headed past Barry Ryan.

Straut had earlier missed a penalty when his 19th minute spot kick was saved by Ryan after Seamus Conneely had pulled down Mikey Gilmore.

The replay is back at Terryland Pakr on Monday night.
