Galway duo return for cup clash against local rivals

Galway United and Salthill Devon meet in tonight’s Galway derby at Terryland Park, kick-off 7.45pm.

United welcome back Paul Sinnott and Rhys Meynell from suspension.

Manager Sean Connor has no injury concerns and his strong squad should prove too strong for their First Division neighbours.

According to United full-back Seamus Conneely, the United players are taking nothing for granted ahead of the derby.

"We are all really looking forward to the match," said the Connemara man.

"We know Devon have been picking up some good results of late so we cannot underestimate them.

"It is always nice to play in the cup, you can go out and play with a bit freer style. It's a winner-takes-all game so you have to go for it."

Conneely has been struggling with a groin injury in the last few weeks, but the Ireland Under-21 international can report a clean bill of health ahead of the clash with Devon.
