Gomes out for Spurs

Tottenham will be without goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes for tomorrow’s Premier League game with Wigan.

Gomes faces a short spell on the sidelines after injuring his groin in Wednesday night’s Champions League play-off round second leg against Young Boys, meaning Carlo Cudicini will deputise.

Manager Harry Redknapp must decide whether to play captain Ledley King after his midweek exertions, Luka Modric (groin) is still out, Jamie O’Hara (back) and Jonathan Woodgate are long-term absentees, but David Bentley (ankle) is set to return to training on Monday.
