Midfielder Joe Cole will make his return to Liverpool’s starting line up this evening as manager Roy Hodgson makes five changes for their Europa League play-off second leg tie at the Huseyin Avni Aker Stadium.

With seven first-team members – including Fernando Torres and Steven Gerrard - left at home, there is several alterations from Monday’s 3-0 defeat at Manchester City.

Cole served the first of his three-match domestic ban on that occasion but returns along with Martin Kelly, Sotirios Kyrgiakos, Fabio Aurelio, Christian Poulsen.

They replace Daniel Agger, Martin Skrtel, Gerrard, Torres and Milan Jovanovic.

Dirk Kuyt starts despite claims by his agent yesterday that he wants to leave for Inter Milan.

Super Lig leaders Trabzonspor, trailing 1-0 from the first leg, are unbeaten at home in 2010.
