Figueroa out for Latics

Wigan are waiting for news of Maynor Figueroa after the defender was carried off on a stretcher at the weekend.

The Honduras international twisted his ankle late on in the 6-0 Premier League thrashing by Chelsea on Saturday and is being assessed.

He will not feature in tomorrow’s Carling Cup tie at Hartlepool but forward Victor Moses (calf) is back in contention.

New signing Steven Caldwell is eligible after joining the club on a one-year deal today.
