Fulham v Manchester United

Wayne Rooney was absent from Manchester United’s starting line-up for today’s Barclays Premier League clash with Fulham.

Rooney, who has gone 13 games for club and country since his last competitive goal, failed to make the trip to Craven Cottage because of a virus.

Javier Hernandez started in place of the England striker while Park Ji-sung came in for Nani.

Fulham keeper and Arsenal target Mark Schwarzer, who has handed in a transfer request, failed to recover from his back injury so David Stockdale continued in goal.
