Trap surgery 'successful'

Republic of Ireland manager Giovanni Trapattoni is likely to remain in hospital over the weekend after today undergoing minor abdominal surgery.

Due to continued abdominal pain after suffering from food poisoning this week, tests discovered it was as a result of minor scar tissue from a previous operation.
