McMillan out for Students

UCD welcome champions Bohemians to the UCD Bowl for tonight’s Airtricity League Premier Division clash (kick-off 7.45pm).

The two sides had disappointing results on Friday night so both will be looking to get back to winning ways.

College boss Martin Russell must plan without David McMillan who is set to miss out for six weeks with a groin strain.

Robbie Creevy is also ruled out with tendonitis, while Brian Shortall, who took a knock during the Drogheda game is a serious doubt.

Manager Russell has added full-back Gareth Matthews and central defender Michael Kelly to the squad.

Russell said: “Friday was disappointing. Our performance didn’t match our ability so I’m glad to have the opportunity of testing ourselves against opposition of the calibre of Bohs so soon afterwards.”

Anto Murphy and Stephen Gray (both Achilles) are ruled out for the Gypsies, while there are doubts about Jason Byrne, Killian Brennan and Jason McGuinness.
