Ayew earns plaudits

Ghana midfielder Andre Ayew has won the praise of his team-mates after the Black Stars booked a place in the World Cup quarter-finals.

Asamoah Gyan grabbed the headlines with the extra-time winner in his side’s last 16 encounter with the United States in Rustenburg, but Ayew – who is the son of one of Ghana’s all-time greats Abedi Pele – also impressed at the heart of the team.
