Injury problems mount for Bohs

Bohemians will be hoping to get their title defence back on track as they return from the mid-season break to face Dundalk at Dalymount Park tonight (kick-off 7.45pm).

Killian Brennan and Jason Byrne are both doubtful and Steven Gray and Anto Murphy are struggling with Achilles problems.

Glenn Cronin is suspended. Raffaele Cretaro played in a friendly match last weekend and should be fit following shin surgery, while Aaron Greene should also return.

Gypsies manager Pat Fenlon is hoping he will be able to field a more settled team in the second part of the season after injuries and suspensions forced repeated changes in the season to date.

“We’re looking forward to the start of it again,” Fenlon said. “We’d like to get a settled team.

“We’ve been chopping and changing centre half partnerships, centre midfields, centre forwards. We’d like to get a bit of solidity into the team and hopefully that will happen over the next few weeks.”

Dundalk boss Ian Foster will have to plan without Liam Burns (abdomen), Peter Cherrie (foot) and Michael Synnott (knee).
