Bayern hand Contento new deal

Bayern Munich have extended the contract of Diego Contento by two years to keep the young full-back with the German champions until 2013.

The 20-year-old featured in 14 games during the 2009/10 season, including some key Champions League fixtures, after being promoted from the youth set-up during the winter training camp.

He was given his first professional contract until the end of June 2011, but his impressive performances when called into action have led the club to extend the initial deal by two years.
