Late Quigley strike seals it for Bohs

Sligo Rovers 1 Bohemians 2

Substitute Mark Quigley scored a late winner - his first goal for Bohemians - as the champions won at the Showgrounds.

The win, Bohs second on the spin, moves Pat Fenlon’s side up to fifth place in the table, though they are just three points off the leaders with a game in hand.

Jason Byrne put Bohs in front on 33 minutes when stretching to reach skipper Paul Keegan’s cross and turn the ball past Richard Brush for his sixth goal of the season.

Sligo enjoyed their best spell after half-time and deservedly levelled on 58 minutes.

Conor O’Grady won a corner and former Bohs title winner Joseph Ndo whipped the ball into the box for Matt Blinkhorn to head home.

Bohs then survived some Sligo pressure to hit the winner on 84 minutes.

Fellow substitute Aaron Greene broke down the left to cross and Quigley arrived to stab home from close range.
