Giovanni Trapattoni today announced a list of 23 players who will take part in a summer training camp in Malahide next month, including eight players yet to be capped at senior level.

Giovanni Trapattoni today announced a list of 23 players who will take part in a summer training camp next month, including eight players yet to be capped at senior level.

The eight are: Brian Murphy (Ipswich), Shane Duffy (Everton), Stephen Ward (Wolves), Marc Wilson (Portsmouth), Keith Treacy (Preston), David Meyler (Sunderland), Keith Fahey (Birmingham) and Paul Green (Derby County).

“Training camps are useful for preparation as was proven by the one we held prior to our World Cup qualifying campaign," the Republic of Ireland boss said.

"I look forward to working with these new players and learning firsthand what they have to offer as we begin to prepare for the European Championship qualifiers.”

The training camp will take place from May 16-21 in Malahide, Dublin.
