Big guns go head-to-head tonight

Bohemians and St Patrick’s Athletic go head to head in the top of the table clash at Dalymount Park tonight, kick-off 7.45pm.

A win for Bohemians would put them two points clear at the top of the table and Gypsies boss Pat Fenlon will be confident following their Setanta Cup victory over Linfield on Saturday.

Despite the victory, Fenlon was not completely satisfied with the performance of his side.

Fenlon said: “We didn’t start the game properly, we just weren’t good enough. We need to play better. We need to retain the ball better and we will need to work St Pat’s harder and hopefully we’ll get that.”

Fenlon has a near full-strength squad to choose from, although Steven Gray (ankle) is ruled out and Anto Murphy (shoulder) is doubtful.

Mark Quigley may start against his former club, as Fenlon continues to try various combinations up front.

St Pat’s will be hoping to maintain their unbeaten start to the season and should they succeed, they will remain top of the table.

Saints boss Pete Mahon has no new injury concerns after Friday night’s scoreless draw with Sporting Fingal, and skipper Damian Lynch is likely to return to the squad having recovered from a muscle injury.
