St Pat's skipper to miss Fingal game
St Patrick’s Athletic will be hoping to continue their great start to the season when they host Premier Division newcomers Sporting Fingal at Richmond Park tonight.
Damian Lynch is the only injury concern for St Pat’s, as the skipper is struggling with a thigh strain.
Otherwise, Saints boss Pete Mahon has a full squad to choose from.
Looking ahead to the Dublin derby, Mahon said: “Sporting must be the strongest promoted side for many a year and their team is littered with players who have won top honours.
“I’m very familiar with some of the players at Liam Buckley’s disposal because they played under me at UCD and I’m delighted to see them doping so well.
“Apart from the unlucky defeat to Bohemians on the opening day, Sporting have been in fine form and we know we’re in for a serious test.”
Fingal must, once again, plan without Lorcan Fitzgerald who remains sidelined with a fractured cheekbone.
And former St Pat’s midfielder Alan Kirby is a doubt as he is struggling with a back strain.
The game is live on RTÉ Two, kick-off 7.35pm.
