Burnley boss Brian Laws claimed Martin Olsson dived and “conned the referee” to win the penalty that secured Blackburn the local bragging rights in the Lancashire derby.

Olsson went down under a challenge by Clarets keeper Brian Jensen and referee Mike Dean awarded a penalty which David Dunn slotted home to secure a 1-0 win for Rovers.
