Injury worries for Sligo ahead of league opener

Sligo Rovers open their Airtricity League campaign tonight when they take on Shamrock Rovers at the Showgrounds (kick-off 7.45pm).

Sligo have injury concerns as Gary McCabe has a hamstring strain, Gavin Peers is struggling with a knee injury, while Matthew Blinkhorn is also a doubt.

Paul Cook’s side started their campaign last Saturday by beating Cliftonville in the Setanta Cup 3-0 in the Showgrounds.

Padraig Amond scored his first goal for the club against the Belfast side. The Carlow striker and fellow forward Eoin Doyle face their former club in this highly-anticipated clash.
