Brown loses red card appeal

Celtic have lost their appeal against Scott Brown’s dismissal during the Old Firm derby defeat on Sunday.

Referee Dougie McDonald has backed his original decision to send off the Scotland midfielder following a clash with Kyle Lafferty during Celtic’s 1-0 defeat at Ibrox.

Brown will now miss a total of three matches through suspension, including Sunday’s Clydesdale Bank Premier League trip to Falkirk.
