Reports linking Terry affair woman to three more players dismissed

The furore over underwear model Vanessa Perroncel’s relationship with England captain John Terry erupted again today with fresh claims of liaisons with three more players.

Ms Perroncel’s publicist dismissed reports that she had flings with three other past and present Chelsea stars, saying she regularly met footballers through her work in nightclubs.

Ms Perroncel, the ex-partner of Terry’s England team-mate Wayne Bridge, has yet to speak out about her relationship with the Chelsea captain and remains at the centre of a bidding war for her story.

Responding to claims in The Sun relating to an alleged affair with one footballer in 2003, Max Clifford said: “She met him when she used to work in a club, about 10 years ago.

“She knew him and she knew some of the players but she didn’t have affairs with them.

“She knew lots of the footballers and lots of stars, as you do when you work in clubs.”

The publicist said he would be meeting Ms Perroncel later today to discuss her next move.

She will be considering the future of her three-year-old son Jaydon when she makes her decision, he said.

The boy was yesterday collected by former Chelsea player Bridge, his father, and taken to his Manchester home to protect him from the media frenzy.

The couple, who separated in July, were going through “a very emotional time”, Mr Clifford said.

Bridge, 29, who now plays for Manchester City, will look after Jaydon for the next couple of days. He and Ms Perroncel have shared childcare since their relationship came to an end.

The publicist has so far refused to be drawn on the veracity of Ms Perroncel’s alleged affair, but has insisted some press reports about her were incorrect.

He has also dismissed suggestions Ms Perroncel was in love with the England skipper, although they had been “close friends” for years.

A final decision on whether she will sell her story has yet to be made, though six media outlets have reputedly submitted bids for her story, including one for over £250,000 (€285,782).

Meanwhile England boss Fabio Capello is expected to announce later this week whether Terry will hold on to the captaincy.

The England head coach is understood to be keen to have the issue settled before he travels to Warsaw for the qualifying draw for the 2012 European Championships this weekend.

Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed he will allow him some time away from the team if he needs it, but insists no decision has yet been made.

He has confirmed Terry will remain captain of the club but has refused to discuss whether he should hold on to the England captaincy.

All eyes were yesterday on the under-fire captain as he led the Blues out in a 1-1 draw with Hull at the KC Stadium.

The allegations relating to his private life came to light after a gagging order was lifted by Mr Justice Tugendhat at the High Court in London on Friday.

Terry, who was voted Dad of the Year last year in a Daddies Sauce survey, has two children with his wife, who has now fled the family home and reportedly flown to Dubai with the youngsters.
