Blackburn manager Sam Allardyce has condemned Benni McCarthy as “unprofessional” and said his conduct is symptomatic of selfishness and disloyalty shown by many players.

The South Africa striker has stayed away from training from three days as he tries to engineer a move to West Ham, but Allardyce said Blackburn will not be forced into accepting a low fee for the player.
