El-Hadji Diouf and Morten Gamst Pedersen are back in contention for Blackburn’s second leg of their Carling Cup semi-final with Aston Villa at Villa Park tomorrow.

Diouf has served a three-match ban collected following his red card in the 3-1 FA Cup third-round defeat at Villa earlier this month.

Pedersen, meanwhile, is fit again after shaking off a knee injury that led to him missing Sunday’s 2-0 victory against Fulham at Ewood Park.

Manager Sam Allardyce is still without three players in Lars Jacobsen (thigh), Vince Grella (thigh) and Jason Roberts (knee).

Team (from): Robinson, Olsson, Chimbonda, Nelsen, Samba, Salgado, Pedersen, Givet, Nzonzi, Hoilett, Andrews, Emerton, Dunn, Di Santo, Diouf, McCarthy, Kalinic, Jones, Brown, Reid.
