Coventry City complete Deegan signing

Coventry City have completed the signing of 22-year-old midfielder Gary Deegan from Bohemians.

The Dublin-born midfielder joins the Sky Blues on a three-and-a-half-year contract which will see him at the club until June 2013.

Deegan scored five goals in 34 appearances for Bohemians and also represented them in their 2009 UEFA Champions' League campaign which ended with a 2-1 aggregate defeat to Red Bull Salzburg.

The central-midfield playmaker, who was the subject of interest from a host of other clubs - including several in the Premier League - was also voted onto the 2009 PFAI Team of the Season.
