Police praise Leeds and United fans for 'impeccable' behaviour

The behaviour of rival football fans at the clash between Manchester United and Leeds was “impeccable” today, confounding predictions there would be widespread disorder, police said today.

The bitter rivals met for the first time in five years for the hotly-anticipated FA Cup third round tie at Old Trafford, and officers were braced for trouble.
