Coyle backs technology

Burnley manager Owen Coyle has joined the calls urging football’s authorities to introduce goal-line video technology.

Coyle – who saw Herman Hreidarsson win a contentious penalty against his side in the Clarets’ 2-0 defeat at Portsmouth on Saturday – admitted the more general use of television replays might prove disruptive in determining major decisions in open play.
