Republic of Ireland chiefs have launched a scathing attack on FIFA president Sepp Blatter after ending their bid for World Cup justice.

The Football Association of Ireland have withdrawn their request for Ireland to be included as a 33rd team at next summer’s finals in South Africa in the wake of Thierry Henry’s infamous handball to be considered by the governing body’s executive committee in Cape Town this afternoon.
