Toulalan and Diaby remain doubts, Gignac available
France midfielder Jeremy Toulalan remains a major doubt for Les Bleus’ World Cup play-off first leg against Ireland tomorrow.
The Lyon player was called up for Raymond Domenech’s squad despite carrying a hamstring niggle and has been undergoing light training to assess his fitness.
While the 26-year-old has not suffered any adverse effects his condition is not noticeably better either, meaning Domenech may be forced into a last-minute decision.
A statement on www.francefootball.fr read: “Toulalan began training with some light jogging before working harder to see if it (his hamstring) holds.
“There was no deterioration or improvement in his condition.”
Arsenal midfielder Abou Diaby is also a doubt, but Andre-Pierre Gignac should be available after taking a full part in training today following a knock to the shin.
