City poised to sign sponsorship deal

Manchester City are set to sign a three-year sponsorship deal with Middle East telecommunications giant Etisalat.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed in Abu Dhabi which precedes a strategic sponsorship agreement that will be formalised later this year.

It will see Etisalat become City’s exclusive telecomms partner in all the countries where the company has operations and join Etihad Airways and Umbro as the club’s third global partner.

“The profile of Manchester City is already growing globally, and the ability to effectively expand this growth with tailored communications forms the core of our agreement with Etisalat,” said City’s executive chairman Garry Cook.
