Bohs expected to be crowned champions tonight

Barring a catastrophe Bohemians will be crowned league champions after tonight’s game with Bray Wanderers at the Carlisle Grounds, kick-off 7.45pm.

Central defender Derek Foran is missing for Wanderers as he is struggling with a groin injury, while winger Gary McCabe is a doubt and will have a late fitness test.

Otherwise, manager Eddie Gormley has a full squad to choose from with Chris Deans returning from suspension.

Gormley said: "It wasn't a nice feeling last week to be relegated, but now we have to look to the future and build on that.

“We have a lot of young players who now have the experience of a season in the top flight and that must stand to us going forward.

“It will be a tough game on Friday. We will be going out to win the game. We have got over the disappointment of last Friday and we will be positive and hope to finish on a high.”

Bohs manager Pat Fenlon says they will try to treat the Bray game as normal, though that will not be easy in view of the events of the past week.

He said: "We'd like to finish off the season with a win, and to entertain the crowd. The pressure is off Bray to some extent, so it should be a good game.

"It's very difficult to win back-to-back titles. And we did it with a very big points total across the two seasons."

Ken Oman is the only squad member missing through injury. All of the players injured longer-term - Owen Heary, Jason McGuinness and Mark Rossiter - are available for this celebratory last match.
