Drogheda United can avoid the automatic relegation spot with victory over St Patrick's Athletic at United Park tonight, kick-off 7.45pm.

After a busy week off the field for Drogheda, boss Alan Mathews is in a position to name a very strong starting 11 as he only has one injury concern going into the game.

Jamie Duffy is the only United player unavailable, the former Shamrock Rovers midfielder is struggling with a hamstring injury.

For Saints, Declan O’Brien (hamstring) and Jason Gavin (groin) are both doubtful and will undergo fitness tests in the morning.

Enda Stevens is back in the squad after recovering from illness, while Damian Lynch returns from suspension.

Noel Haverty and Andy Haran are both back in training following recent injuries but they are not yet available for selection.

Midfielder Gary Dempsey also misses out as he is struggling with an ankle injury.
