Mutu payment on hold pending court ruling

Adrian Mutu has won the latest stage of his court battle with former club Chelsea.

The Romanian forward owes more than €17m to the London club after being fired for using cocaine.

The Swiss Federal Court says he should not pay anything until it decides on his appeal against a ruling to pay the club compensation.

The verdict is expected later this year.
