Bohemians moved back top of the table, for 24 hours at least, as Europa League-chasing Cork suffered a second successive defeat.

Before a decent crowd of almost 3,000, the proposed on-field protest by fans' group FORAS was averted following a meeting with the FAI during the day.

But it got no better for Cork as visiting defender ken Oman headed the reigning champions in front on 39 minutes from Paul Keegan’s cross with keeper Mark McNulty partly at fault.

The game looked irretrievable for money-troubled Cork on the hour mark when young central defender Kevin Long slid in to send Damien Brennan’s low cross into his own net.
