Montenegro game will be a chance for youth
Republic of Ireland manager Giovanni Trapattoni has said he may bring in some younger players for Wednesday's game against Montenegro.
The final World Cup qualifier is effectively a 'dead rubber' after the draw against Italy on Saturday night guaranteed Ireland a play-off spot for the World Cup finals in South Africa next year.
"Our job now is to concentrate," Trapattoni said, "maybe on Wednesday I change one or two players for the younger players. But it is important that now we think about our experience."
Reflecting on the Saturday's game, he said it "was not a surprise", because he knew that Ireland "have good players of good quality".
However, the manager did admit that his team are "missing a little bit of experience", that let Italy score their late goal.
"With a little more experience, we can control the game. In the last minutes we could have wasted time."
But he insisted that he was still happy with the position they are in after the draw with the world champions.
"I am happy enough, because there is no change in the table and there is no change in the possibility of playing the qualifier."
