Late Bray comeback stuns Cork
Bray Wanderers 3 Cork City 2
Dave Mulcahy scored a dramatic late brace as bottom-of-the-table Bray staged a remarkable comeback at the Carlisle Grounds.
Cork appeared in full control as they lead 2-0 with 11 minutes to play.
Skipper Dan Murray had headed them in front after 41 minutes when Faz Kuduzovic flicked on Billy Dennehy's corner.
Kuduzovic then slotted home a 52nd minute penalty, dubiously awarded for a challenge by Dave Webster on Guntars Silagailis.
But the game turned on 79 minutes when Cork left-back Danny Murphy was sent off for deliberate handball and substitute Jake Kelly blasted home the resultant penatly.
Bray laid siege to the Cork goal and levelled on 86 minutes when Mulcahy headed home after Paul Byrne helped on Gary Cronin's long throw.
Another long throw, this time from Webster, brought Bray's winner five minutes into stoppage time. Cork failed to defend it and the ball fell to ex-City midfielder Mulcahy who rifled home to ecstatic scenes.
Bray are now just two points behind second bottom Drogheda and have the chance to come off the bottom when they travel to Sligo Rovers on Tuesday.
